I wanted to up-date our past customers and community, on what has happened to us in the last several years.
The winter of 2004/2005 I had major surgery on my foot and could only work part time at my photography during the summer.
Then April, 2006, my husband fell 10 feet, and broke his back while working on my photography roof. I was out of town. Lucky for him, he had his cell phone in his pocket and it didn't fall out, so he was able to call 911. The first responders were there within minutes. His back was definitely broken and he was air lifted to North Memorial Hospital in Robinsdale, MN. It took 3 surgeries to repair the damage. As each one was scheduled, we did not know if he would be paralyzed or not, until he woke up. We were very blessed. After each surgery we'd pray and hold our breath while doctors asked if he was able to move his feet, and each time he did.
Then he developed an infection in one of the incisions; then another in his blood stream. Then another in his picc line that they were feeding him through.
It was a very long ordeal, with recovery from surgery, and then all the drawbacks from complications. Now he is fully recovered and back to normal, but......no more ladders for him!!
Needless to say it has taken a very long time....while my business has gone buy the wayside. Now, we are finally able to think about getting back to work.
